JC House in Aroeira
Description
The house is part of an urbanization of usual golf-course typology.
The abundant presence of the green and of lakes is, in this particular case, associated to lands of large sized pine trees and its typical spontaneous shrubbery.
The allotment demands the maintenance of the pine trees or, if needed, the replanting of the amounts pulled down. The house itself starts by stretching to the most inside the regulated perimeter.
Over the resulting area and according to the location of the existing pine trees, square-shaped patios are opened, each of the necessary size for the roots to grow, thus assuring the trees maximum presence and growth. The nature referential remains untouched.
The house goes down south-bound to the street, showing a much less expressive volumetric impact. To the North, is goes up as a mezzanine over the golf-course, so to observe the landscape and a faraway lake.
The perimeter will have a smooth and white texture, built in barred even concrete. The patios are covered in traditionally made ceramic tiles, coloured and glazed.The roof, easily seen from the street due to the particular shape of the building, will be wrapped in natural copper foil, in stapled gaskets. It is a material whose natural characteristics render a chromatic evolution from brown to green, thus fitting adequately in the landscape colours.
