Set on a west-sloping site, the house rests within a garden, establishing a direct relationship with nature, marked by breathtaking views over the sea.

The building is positioned towards the eastern side of the plot, allowing the existing slopes to be used to shape both the access from the street and the functional access to the garage. This frees the western part of the site for the garden, benefiting from greater solar exposure and privileged views.

The house is conceived as a robust volume from which voids are progressively carved out to create sheltered interior courtyards, protected from the prevailing winds. The main entrance is located on the ground floor, within a sheltered area protected from the elements. This level accommodates the social areas of the house and the terrace serving the swimming pool, with views over the ocean. The pool is positioned above the buried floor, which accommodates the technical areas, storage spaces and parking. The first floor contains the bedrooms, predominantly facing west, which open onto the exterior through large glazed openings beneath a generous shaded recess.

The roof is conceived as an accessible terrace reached via an external spiral staircase. Solar thermal and photovoltaic panels are concealed within it, contributing to the production of renewable energy integrated into the building’s technical systems. The house is designed to achieve a high level of thermal performance, responding to the local climate through a sustainable approach that seeks to reduce its environmental impact.

Beyond the concerns of integrating the building within the wider development in which it is located, the design of the plot follows principles of sustainable landscape intervention, drawing on the botanical character of the native flora, particularly stands of Pinus pinea and Cistus ladanifer. The landscape is conceived to remain as naturalised as possible, requiring little to no irrigation.
